Revealing a new artwork and technology
Unreal offers a glimpse into the reality and “un-reality” of the artist’s eye.
This is Paul Nitsche’s first solo curatorial show, in collaboration with Toby Jacobs, a second generation art restorer and consultant. Together, they invite the viewer to explore the realms of the imagination, and the possibilities that this engenders.
As a center piece and as a world-first lies Baby 3.0, a unique sculpture by Lorenzo Quinn. This sculpture has been embedded with a data-storing microchip invented by his son Nicholas, which cryptographically connects to an NFT on the Blockchain. This chip safeguards any prized possession against unauthorized reproduction or even theft!
This artwork is also controversial as we have seemingly added a microchip into a baby for its own protection. But this technology is truly decentralized and represents a new freedom for humanity, rather than a centralized control of humanity!
