Laurie is a versatile visual artist with over twenty-five years of exhibition experience in the northeastern United States and Mallorca, Spain, where she has resided since 2004. This is complemented by thirty-plus years of arts education to students of all ages, with a special focus in adolescence. Laurie is particularly passionate about the intersection of fine art and inclusive education where creative expression, emotional literacy, and social action can be explored through collaboration across age groups and professional sectors. Her commitment to this is evident through the impactful art installations she coordinates to promote awareness of cultural threats to mental health and essential human rights.
In 2022, Laurie became an associate member of the worldwide artist collective 'Mujeres Mirando Mujeres,' based in Madrid, Spain. Recently, Laurie concluded her role as the respected Head of Art and Design at Palma College where she designed a hybrid curriculum teaching portfolio preparation in various fields of Fine Art and Commercial Design. Presently Laurie is the founder of The AutoEphemera Way, a multidisciplinary venture specializing in creativity consultation and mentoring that combines visual arts and personal development practices.
