Ishila Aleksandra is a polish, queer, nonbinary artist, currently living and working in London. In 2021 they graduated from a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Mixed Media at University of Westminster in London. They reference historical oil paintings, particularly of French Rococo and Italian Renaissance, to change power dynamics between what one looks at and tho is looking, explore spaces in between notions of normativity and queerness and find ways of dealing with transgenerational trauma and systems of oppression.
